Why I Start This Blog

Some time ago I met a very inspiring lady. She spoke simply, slowly and with a nice eye contact. She was my instructor in a presentation skills workshop. What impressed me immediately about her was that the first question she asked me and the other participants was "So, what's going well in your life?"

I liked that and i decided to adopt it in my life. It was interesting to see our surprised faces after this question, because if we think about it, we are so used to the standard (and often not reflecting the truth) "How are you - Fine, thanks" dialogue, that we forget to think about the really good stuff happening to us every day. Furthermore, me like many other people I have met, get lost in the contagious circle of complaining about daily things that shouldn't matter if we live an honest, thankful life, truthful to our real values and beliefs.
This is why I start this blog - to share my daily portion of gratefulness for what is going well because the truth is that I don't recognize this as much as I should. I would like to make other people realize their own bit of gratefulness and feel good about it. I believe being thankful is an essential part of creating our own happiness. Yes - CREATING! Not looking or waiting for it. We have the tendency (me personally) to forget that we decide how we react to the world and what kind of people we want to be. We own our thoughts and behavior.
So here I am: Kristina, a Bulgarian girl, just over 30, mother of a 2-year old incredible boy and a wife of a wonderful nepali man, who has been teaching me about love and life from the first moment I met him.
Being a mama is the biggest privilege I have ever been given. But often i catch myself focusing on the things I CAN'T do in this busy role, instead of those things that life has given me opportunity to do. This blog is an attempt to connect to other busy moms and all these people out there who are ready to create their happiness. Join me if you share this view.
"So tell me, what's going well in your life?"
